Products

Group the repositories that make one product and describe how they fit — once, for every AI run.

A product with three repositories, each with a role, two areas and notes for AI

Most AI tools only see the folder they run in. A product tells them about the rest.

Describe a product

⇧⌘P › Products:

  • Repositories & folders, each with a role ("Orders & refunds API (Go)") and notes.
  • Areas — parts people think of separately, such as Payment or Orders, with notes and the repositories they live in.
  • Links — tracker, docs.
  • For AI — architecture and conventions in Markdown.

Products also get a colour that groups their projects in the tab bar or rail.

Who reads it

Every AI run in a member repository: the assistant, AI review, agent teams — and Claude Code or Codex outside Beetool through the MCP server (list_products, product_context).
