About BeeTool.Dev
BeeTool.Dev is a workbench for software developers: a collection of 30+ everyday utilities — JSON editing and comparison, JWT decoding, SQL formatting, hash and UUID generation, network calculators, and more — together with Stories, a blog of practical engineering notes, and a personal document space for organizing technical knowledge.
Why this site exists
Most developers keep a private bookmark folder of single-purpose tool sites: one to format JSON, another to decode a JWT, a third to diff two blobs of text. Each has its own layout, its own quirks, and — too often — its own habit of sending your data to a server you know nothing about. BeeTool.Dev replaces that folder with one consistent, tabbed workspace where the tools sit side by side and share a common design.
The defining principle is that your data stays on your machine. The tools run entirely in your browser: the JSON you paste, the tokens you decode, and the files you open are processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers. That makes the tools safe to use even with production configuration files, access tokens, or customer data that must not leave your computer.
Who builds it
BeeTool.Dev is built and maintained by Duke, a software engineer who works on backend services and web applications and built these tools for his own daily work first. Every utility on this site exists because it solved a real problem in a real project — and the blog posts document the lessons learned along the way.
The site is an independent project: it is not backed by a company, and its content is written by hand — the guides and stories come from practical experience, not from content farms.
What you can find here
The Tool Tabs Vault hosts the utilities, organized in browser-style tabs so you can keep several open at once. Stories collects engineering write-ups, how-to guides, and ideas from the workbench. The Algorithms Playground visualizes classic sorting and searching algorithms for learning and teaching. Personal Documents is a private, Confluence-style space for your own notes, with an approval flow for publishing selected documents as public posts.
